nywhig [dot] org Gene Chaas is a native of Rochester NY and schooled at Syracuse University where he earned a M.A. from the Maxwell School in International Political Economy. Gene has lived in Manhattan, Brooklyn Heights and now resides outside of Buffalo.
Gene served in the U.S Army Intelligence Corps during the mid 1980’s. Gene holds the designation of a Chartered Financial Analyst and is the manager of an investment firm. He and his wife Michelle, an attorney, are raising two sons.
