Why don't you have a candidate for president in 2012?

For 2012 the Whigs are not looking to support a candidate for President by themselves. To do so at this point would be a waste of resources that we could use to support multiple candidates for other state and federal offices. However, we are looking into the possibility of supporting a Whig Presidential candidate and working to get that candidate elected via Americans Elect. If this does not happen the Whigs will not be supporting a Presidential candidate in 2012. If you are seriously considering running for President in 2012 or later please email the national chairman.

The fact of the matter is we do not have the full resources to run a successful presidential candidate. We want to run a candidate when that candidate can compete an win. That time unfortunately if not now. However, we can realistically get several people elected to state and federal office and grow from there. Given our current growth rate serious presidential candidates can come from the Whigs in 2016 and beyond. What we are involved in is building a foundation for a movement and that takes time and effort.

For us to get to that point we need people to join now and help us build to that level or we will never get there. We all must do our part.

Any chance you could hire a proofreader?  Multiple errors in one article.  Sorry, that reflects a lack of leadership and integrity; it appears that you don't give a hoot despite your party's logo.
