Hi, I'm new to the MWP. My name is Phil and I'm an attorney in Maryland. In my life I've been both a registered Republican (before it's evolution into its current "moral right" state) and a registered Democrat (which spends a little too much for my liking). I heard about the MWP about a year ago and have been following ever since. Finally joined today after giving it lots of thought.
I am happy to be a part of a political party that recognizes the strengths in both sides of the spectrum, as well as the weaknesses. I am happy to be part of a party that espouses fiscal conservatism, social liberalism, education, science, and independent thinking.
This is what I have been missing in US Politics.
Thanks for having me.
You perfectly summed up my reasons for joining as well. Hopefully there will be enough like us and those who joined before us who realize how much the current state is failing us and how much the MWP can serve us.
Glad to have both of you working with us. It takes all of us doing our part to continue to grow and reach people. We are still very young but continue to grow. We just need to keep talking and reaching out to people. Action is the key with just a touch of patience.
All the best,

Hello Phil,
We're on the same page as how we became Whigs! I also like the balance between the two major parties. It doesn't get any better than this. Welcome aboard!

I hope it gets better. Right now, we're like Sherlock Holmes smarter brother who hung out at the Dioceles ( sp?) club while Sherlock was out on the streets.
So action/success will make it "better".
