Following is a discussion on the Page item titled: Veterans Affairs Assistance .
Here is the item for your reference:
The Veterans Affairs Assistance Committee of the Modern Whig Party exists to help Whig veteran members and veterans who are not members with veterans’ issues. The committee will organize the Modern Whig Party response to difficulties that veterans may be having with their benefits or any other veteran issues. The Committee will also help veterans’ families as well. The Veterans Affairs Assistance Committee also is able to help active duty military as well as their families.
The committee is made up of Whig members who are veterans or active duty and have experience dealing with the Department of Defense and Veterans Affairs. The committee will listen to requests for help on behalf of the Modern Whig Party and then recommend a course of action for the party to take.
How can the Veterans Affairs Assistance Committee help? We do not promise anything but we will use our membership size and media connections to bring pressure against those who are hindering our veterans, active duty military and their families in a way that is not right. For more information on how you can help out please contact us.

Hubert, I am doing some volunteer work for the USAR 4th of the 98th FRG. One basic tool of the FRG is the reference guide of all the agencies/points of contacts to find solution to the problems an Army family may have, both community based and with the Army itself. I might encourage that same method here.
I should think that some Veteran help groups may already have assembled such refernces and would be willing to share them. Does your grandad's VietNow group have anything like that?
Yes, VietNow of Macon has POIs and POCs for their advantage of helping veterans. Im currently working on our own list now, for our own effort to get issues solved in a timely manner.
I work for the family programs office in the family readiness center for the army national guard for my state. I may have some very beneficial resources and insight into veterans affairs assistance. I'm just not sure what you are looking for as far as resources.
