Andrew Evans was born in Houston, TX and grew up in Virginia Beach, VA, he currently lives in Greenville, NC. Andrew has bachelors degrees in Political Science and History from East Carolina University. Andrew is currently enrolled in the Masters of Public Administration program at East Carolina University. He hopes to attend law school upon graduation or work in local or state government. Andrew has always had a love for how our government works, even at a young age. Andrew has served as national vice chair and chair of the American Centrist Party from 2005 to 2010.
Gene Chaas is a native of Rochester NY and schooled at Syracuse University where he earned a M.A. from the Maxwell School in International Political Economy. Gene has lived in Manhattan, Brooklyn Heights and now resides outside of Buffalo.
David Ervin is a native of North Carolina. David is a graduate from East Carolina University with a B.S. in Biology. He has worked in the pharmaceutical industry and also in agriculture. David enjoys reading, sports and hard work. David is glad to work with the Whigs as he wants to be a part of making America better.
The Northern Region, Vice Chair is Michael Burger. Michael Burger has years of experience in political party leadership and brings this experience to the Whigs. The following states are part of the Northern Region: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
Originally from Houston, Texas, Chris Davis studied business and engineering at Texas Tech University. He has now returned to his hometown where he is an experienced data analysis and process improvement professional in the oil and gas industry. In his free time, Chris engages in side projects related to technology, startups, career development and politics.
Martin Schmieg was raised in Philadelphia and currently lives in New York. He graduated from LaSalle College and has experience as a CPA. In addition to his experience in fundraising, Martin also been the founder, CFO, and CEO of several health care related companies. Martin is also heavily involved with fundraising and volunteer work for religious and community service organizations. Martin is in charge of fundraising efforts for the Whigs.
The Veterans Affairs Assistance Committee of the Modern Whig Party exists to help Whig veteran members and veterans who are not members with veterans’ issues. The committee will organize the Modern Whig Party response to difficulties that veterans may be having with their benefits or any other veteran issues. The Committee will also help veterans’ families as well. The Veterans Affairs Assistance Committee also is able to help active duty military as well as their families.
The Director of the Roundtables is responsible for overseeing the Whig Roundtables. Responsibilities include being the head moderator of the Roundtables and making sure that the Roundtables run smoothly and the procedures of the Roundtables are followed.
The Director of the Whig Academy is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Whig Academy on a day to day and week to week basis. The Whig Academy offers free training to citizens and Whig members in running for office, leadership, communication, and the Modern Whig philosophy.
Jim began his career in electronics in 1973 after leaving the Navy and has been involved with the Internet in some fashion since the mid 1980s. His resume includes being Computer Products Division Manager and Lead Software Architect. He brings a strong background of experience with customer driven websites to the position.
The Director of New Media oversees the Modern Whig website and other Internet operations and manages the New Media team.
Elizabeth’s parents have been in the military; her father served during Vietnam and her mother in Desert Storm. Her mother’s side of the family comes from poor farmers in southern Mexico, but she was able to attend college despite her background. Her family on her father’s side are known leaders in the military—most attending West Point and later becoming Colonels, Lt. Generals, and holding various appointed positions in the state department. Elizabeth has lived in Mexico and various states across the U.S.
Joe Brown is a family-centered military veteran. He is currently a systems engineer with a major computer systems security company. He resides in Southwest Missouri, just outside of Springfield.
Joe is a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), a member of the National Rifle Association (NRA), a long time member of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), and dedicated supporter of the March of Dimes.
B.J. Ellis is the Social Media Director, and manages the National Social Media Project Team of the Modern Whig Party of America. This position is not a National Executive Committee position. The Social Media Project team is part of the National New Media Team.
